About HandyKenny
After 34 years as a manager in the corporate environment Kenny decided on a complete career change and decided to make a business out of what he was good at - being handy. A straw poll around his friends and neighbours soon led him to believe that there was a place locally for a niche business that could complete most of the home maintenance tasks for a number of customers and generally tradesmen like to tackle jobs which last a day or two. The idea of HandyKenny was born. Kenny being Kenny he already has ideas for a fleet of vehicles managed from a call centre where customers can call in and get service by the end of the next working day. Kenny himself has already built a very large garage and completed two extensions on his house which involved him in joinery, plastering, plumbing and electrical work since he had a hand in everything that was done and only brought in other people to lend a hand or speed things up (since there is always a lot of work in building an extension). He also laid a new driveway using 40 tons of slate stone shipped in from Orkney, which in itself was a challenge to get off the fish lorries which actually delivered the stone. Watch this space.
